Activated carbon

In order to further optimize filtration of waste water, Verschoore installed 6 massive activated carbon filters, installed in-line on a major waste water plant in Belgium.

Because of the abrasive character of the activated carbon, a specific vinylester coating was applied to protect the metal and increase the lifetime of the filters.

The filtrated water passes through 8 stainless steel pipes in one big collector for further filtration in the process.

With 6 filtration units of 75.000 litres each, high filtration flows can be obtained.
